Making homemade salsa is an easy and affordable way to add flavor and excitement to your meals. These four recipes are just the tip of the iceberg.  You can get creative and add your own twist by experimenting with different ingredients. So why not try making some homemade salsa today and enjoy the delicious taste of fresh, homemade salsas?

Fresh Tomato

This classic salsa is a crowd-pleaser and comes together really quick. Simply blend together ripe tomatoes, diced onion, minced garlic, fresh cilantro, lime juice, cumin and salt to taste. This salsa can be served immediately, but it’s even better if it’s left in the fridge for an hour or two. So you can give the flavors a chance to meld together.  And you can add a little heat if you want by adding in some fresh jalapeño as well.

Roasted Tomato

This a simple twist on the classic tomato salsa.  By simply roasting the tomatoes, onion and garlic it really transforms into a completely different flavor profile.  And after you grill, roast or bake your ingredients you can follow the same exact directions as the fresh salsa.

Roasted Tomatillo

This tangy and flavorful salsa is made from roasted tomatillos. Which are small green tomatoes that are common in Mexican cuisine. After roasting the tomatillos, blend them with garlic, jalapeño, cilantro, and lime juice for a delicious and unique salsa.

Boiled Tomatillo

And if you don’t like the roasted or grilled flavor profile you can also boil them.  And once they are soft just follow the same directions as above.

Homemade salsas are a great way to spice up your meals and add a burst of flavor to your food. With these four easy-to-make salsa recipes, you can add a new level of flavor to your meals without spending a lot of time or money. Whether you prefer classic tomato salsa, roasted tomato salsa, tangy roasted tomatillo salsa, or boiled tomatillo salsa, there is a version out there for everyone!
